Dr. George Irwin Scholarship

Dr. Irwin, radiologist, was one of the founding members of the Bloomington-Normal School of Radiography. The program was created in 1966 to train needed staff for the three major hospitals in the Bloomington-Normal area. The radiologists and management presided on the board for the school and were very active in the education of the radiographers that graduated from this program. BNSR transferred to Heartland Community College in 2009. They created a $1,000 scholarship to support an HCC radiography student.
